Insanity Streak

Well today I went out with Jason, Jiah Sze and Jayme. Got to catch up with them at Sunway Lagoon. But the interesting bit was I went on the G-Force X Anti-gravity Machine (FIVE TIMES) !!! I felt zero gravity for like 2 seconds. (Oh btw for you people who have no clue what a G-Force X Anti-gravity Machine is, it's this ball with two people inside that's launched into the air from two rubbery ropes. :) ) And for it Jayme and I received a Certificate of Insanity.

For the truly insane

And it reads:

"CERTIFICATE OF INSANITY
Awarded to Bernard Sam Mun-Kin of Malaysia who we herby certify has overcome all fear and instinct by laughing in the face of gravity and allowed themselves to be launched from 0-120km ph in 2.5 seconds on the G-Force X Anti-Gravity Machine. For this we commend their bravery. They completed this experience of sheer insanity at the AJ Hackett Site Malaysia on this 28 day of December 2007."

I feel so proud. :D

And the Teoh brother and sisters also gave me and my sister a gift for christmas. It's a sort of chain/necklace from Bausch K. If i'm not mistaken, Jiah Sze was the one who chose it. Thanks Jessie. ;D

THANKS GUYS! :D

Merry Christmas Everyone!

Well first of all, Merry Christmas to all who are reading this! For my Christmas I was in Malacca, with my grandparents. We had a few laughs, I had my grandpa's oh so magnificent nasi lemak and I got a teddy bear from my grandma. Thanks!

Also I sent my glasses for repair. AND I bought a spare pair of glasses as I wouldn't get my old one back until this weekend. Its my new so-called sports/spare pair of glasses. Since my other pair is frameless and more "fragile". ;D Try to imagine what I would look like wearing it.

Yes, its pink. There was no other colour. ;P

Oh and I'd like to say sorry to a friend today, for hanging up her call when I was on the way back from Malacca. SORRY

Well have a Merry Christmas! (Only 4 hours left. Try to enjoy it as much as possible!)

*And expect my Commonwealth Essay to pop up here within the next few weeks. ;D

When Freedom Turns Into Work

And by "work", I actually truly meant PILES and PILES of work. And by "piles", I don't mean hemorrhoids but a heap of things lying on top of another. It cleary describes my homework in a very perfect sense. And to make matters worse, all the homework (excluding art) are projects. "Whoopie" as one would say. Sarcastically. Well better get cracking. Onward to VICTORY (a.k.a. in this situation as the completion of my homework and to get a pet eagle. Awwwwkkkk). ;D

Oh, and I also watched I Am Legend already. Very good show. Sad in the end. Loads of scares in between. Though I thought the ending wasn't very necessary. Plus by watching I Am Legend in the cinema, I now also want to watch JUMPER and WANTED. The trailers were awesome. Go look for it. And then wait with me 'till 2008.

Plus since its Christmas eve today, I have the highest honour to wish all of you reading this a Happy and Merry Christmas. Hopefully if (IF) I'm a good boy this year, Santa will give me a rock that burns! (or as most unimaginative people call it, coal.) ;D

Well now, off to homework. Byeee everyone!

*Oh and don't mind that incomplete post of my holiday down below. I WILL finish it someday. IF I can remember it properly. 'Till then, take care!

A True Adventure

Well now, I have returned from my climactic journey from nature back to civilization. I mean seriously. It is a true spectacle that I survived without the Internet and smsing my friends. ;D But nevertheless, it was an epic trip. And by epic I mean EPICCCC! It is truly unimaginable. It is truly hard to explain in words the majestic beauty of Mulu and Batang Ai. But seeing as I, Bernard Sam, am a great writer and great friend, I'll try my best to write out my adventure out in the open (with some pictures for you little ones out there. ;D ). Well here's my story:

*The pictures shown here today were taken by my phone which only had enough space for 15 more shots. 15. So not many pictures for you. And don't complain about the blurrness of the pictures. Or the pictures may be VERY large. SO UNDERSTAND PLEASE. :) Well now, here's the story:

14 December, 2007- Well we took of to KLIA. duh. And we got on the plane heading for Miri. We stayed there for one day. It wasn't very fascinating. But you see the exciting events that were about to occur would only happen tomorrow! So onward to SATURDAY!

Words of Wisdom

15 December, 2007- Today is where the excitement begins. So early in the morning, we went of to the airport to fly to MULU. Strangely the only flights going to and from Mulu were from Miri. So then we sat in one of those "MASWings", those small-ish planes with propellers. LOL. So it was a 30 minute flight all the way into the heart of the jungle. Well rainforest if you wanna be all scientific. There we landed in this very small airstrip in the middle of nowhere. We got our luggage and hopped on one of those three wheeled cars. Double LOL.

Its like a scene from Jurasic Park. Minus the dinosaurs and huge piles of dino poop.

So we checked in over at Royal Mulu Hotel. The service and facilities here are brilliant. Though the food needs a little work. So anyway, when I walked in I noticed some doods kayaking in the rive right in front of the hotel. The first thought in my mind when I saw this was, "Dang, I need McDonald's." But seeing as I wouldn't be able to get any out here I thought, "I should try out kayaking" instead. But parents said another day. So I waited. Well our trek would only begin tomorrow, so I slept through the night like some nocturnal creature TRYING to sleep at night. Which in layman's term means, "Yes, it was very hard for me to sleep here."

16 December, 2007- Well now today's the day for TREKKING. Today we'll be going to the famous Deer Cave! (And for you who aren't extreme nature enthusiasts as me, Deer Cave is the cave which has the LARGEST cave entrance in the world. Yes. Awesome, no? ) :D So we walked down this long wooden path into the depths of the jungle/rainforest. It was a great place for photos. I was actually surprised we didn't see a WIDE diversity of animals. We saw this really cool lizard though. Greeny. Haha.

What a nice bendy path, no?

Through this long trek we also learned a few cool survival tips IF you got lost in the big unknown that is Mulu's natural rainforest. But I shan't post them here as I don't wanna repeat these cool advices. Go to Mulu. Learn as how I did. ;D So through the jungle our wonderful guide, Mr Silvester, named a few different plants, told us some facts about the jungle and what to expect in the cave up ahead.

Care to walk to paradise with me? ;D

So we continued the long trek to the cave entrance. And it was amazing. One of the most amazing treks I've ever been on. Through the trees, in the distance, you can see the looming limestone hills looking over the jungle. It is soo amazing, you can only imagine (unless you go there that is). Haha. Plus the trees here are woa. These TALL trunks protruding out of the ground reaching for the sky. Just AMAZING. So well after a few long minutes of walking we finally reached the "Observatory Point". Its this little place where we can watch the bats. But later on that.

See that little white blob? That's me.

Now in that pic up there ^^^^^, that isn't even the mouth of the cave. The mouth of the cave is much MUCH bigger. ;D So this "point", as I'd like to call it, is also another wonderful spectacle. It is surrounded by this huge "wall" of limestone hills. Its like the stuff right out of a Lord of the Rings book. Truly WONDERFUL. So then we began our journey into the darkness of the Deer Cave. (Well its lit up by these orange lights so yea. But doesn't the word "darkness" sound so cool? ;D).

The stuff that makes you wanna stare and drool

*Well that's all for now. But I shall continue this post. Most likely tomorrow when I'm more hyper. 'Till then TAKE CARE. And kids don't do drugs. It ain't cool. Byeeee. :)

I Am Legend

Man I so have to watch I Am Legend. I'm am like clearly hooked on this movie. Those of you who still haven't got into the hype that is I Am Legend, here's the lowdown on what to expect:

"Robert Neville (Will Smith) is a brilliant scientist, but even he could not contain the terrible virus that was unstoppable, incurable, and man-made. Somehow immune, Neville is now the last human survivor in what is left of New York City and maybe the world. For three years, Neville has faithfully sent out daily radio messages, desperate to find any other survivors who might be out there. But he is not alone. Mutant victims of the plague—The Infected—lurk in the shadows…watching Neville’s every move…waiting for him to make a fatal mistake. Perhaps mankind’s last, best hope, Neville is driven by only one remaining mission: to find a way to reverse the effects of the virus using his own immune blood. But he knows he is outnumbered…and quickly running out of time."

Well go to either iamlegend.com or youtube to watch the incredible videos. This is Bernard calling off. Byeeee.

*Must watch I am Legendddd..... ;D
