Mayhem

Well, I'm currently burning my hands off right now with Gears of War for the PC and all I can is, "It is friggin' awesome."

However, it wasn't 'till today that I played it. When I installed it, at around the same time I published the last post, it didn't work. When I inserted the second DVD, it said some file could not be found. I was like, "What? Why? WHYYY?"

In the mean time, I installed Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance and it delivers. Its predecessor, Supreme Commander, was already pretty great with its large maps, excellent army co-ordination and controls. This expansion, perfects it. Sure you need a powerful rig to play it, but it's quite amazing to see it run. This game adds an entire new faction, The Seraphim, to the game and a few extra units here and there. It also changes the control scheme so that it's now far more easier to learn ad play. This game is definitely for the RTS fanatics.

After trying out some of the new units, experimentals and the new faction, I figured I should try installing Gears of War again. Sadly, it failed once more.

I installed The Witcher soon after. I haven't even played it yet. The installation process took around 1 hour to extract everything. It was late, so I went to bed.

Then today, I went back to the shop, returned the Gears of War DVD, and got a new one in exchange. I got home installed it, and whatdoyaknow, it worked.

It. Is. One. Helluva. Game. While not much like its Xbox 360 counterpart, the controls are brilliant. The graphics are sweet, sweet eye candy. The blood's abit fake though. Still all around fun. This game is not just a port to the Game of the Year 2006. No, this game adds loads more, and I haven't even gotten to those bits yet. Finally, we get to face off with the Brumak. Gonna be one awesome battle.

Ah, yes. I also managed to get my hands on God of War: Chains of Olympus. If you have a PSP, get this game. This is definitely the best game you can get on the PSP to date. It looks brilliant, the levels are expansive and the controls are simply to die for. I would even say its controls and graphics are far better than its PS2 brothers. I mean the background actually moves and reacts. Just awesome. The only bad side to this is the game's really short. About 8 hours and you can probably beat the game.

Well that's all for today most likely. All of you must think I'm some geek/nerd/game freak or something by now. Well, I am. Bug off! :D

Games Carnivals next week. Gonna be looking forward to that. To all houses, ALL THE BEST! We all know who's gonna take home the cup this year. ;D

GO SE-LA-DANGGG!

See you guys next week.
