Things That Go Boom.

How was my day?

Like getting blown up.

And I mean that in the best way possible.

I keep getting these lovely sunsets of a blue-green shade, with one lone star glistening on the horizon.

During the tests today, there were these ominous booms erupting every so often. It lasted through the whole day, and yet none of us could figure out what was causing it. It sounded like it came from above us (though we were on the top floor), and every time it was heard it would appear as though it was getting louder & closer. Just as it gets louder it softens and fades. Then it'd repeat itself by getting much louder and more sudden.

Apparently, we weren't the only people who heard it. A Form 5 girl came up to our classroom to ask the teacher if any of us were dropping or clanging anything. I thought so too, maybe someone was hitting the window or was lifting the tables before dropping it. Thing is, it wasn't us.

When we were sitting for our Business Studies, the booms got louder and much more intense. Ms. Ellen, our invigilator at the time, went around to check out what was making all the noise. The other neighboring classrooms were surprisingly quiet. The strange fact was: the sounds were resonating from our classroom.

Ridzwan: I WANNA LIVEEE! I don't wanna die. I don't wanna die.

Vikram: Dude, is the roof like gonna fall on us?

Ms. Ellen: Shhh, I'm sure it's nothing.

Julie: Bernard, focus on the paper.

At that moment, I couldn't help but think at any time a raging fire from an explosion would engulf the entire room destroying all of us - including our test papers (Yay!). I also imagined I'd save someone from some terrible, agonizing and horrible fate. Both daydreams, didn't take place. What, it was a Business Studies test. Any young boy in his right mind would start to daydream at any chance he'd get.

At the end of the day, none of us had figured out what was the true cause of the sounds. But one can't help but wonder...

I don't get you.
