Saturday, 1 November 2008 - Right now, I’m in Malacca. Yup I’m typing all this in Pages at this very moment - I’m also re-watching Heroes.
Let’s just say I have loads of time and not much to do.
So what am I doing here exactly? Well I had a wedding to attend.
It’s just my dad and I in Malacca. Ellya and my mum have this dance thing going on back home. So right after my dentist appointment (darn braces are too darn tight), we began the trip. Not much to say about the journey down - I slept almost the whole way.
I’m staying at my Grandpa’s. We were supposed to leave at 6:45. We arrived there at 4:00.
I had the perfect company over the phone the whole time.
For 2 hours I tried connecting to this dumb internet connection that keeps appearing before disappearing. And when I do manage to connect to it, it dies after about a minute or so. It was incredibly annoying and it drove me crazy - nearly.
I wore my prom gear for the occasion.
The wedding was held at the Equatorial Hotel, about a 10 minute drive from where I was staying. Apparently, it’s a five-star hotel (so says Casey, my 8 year old cousin).
The deco for the wedding was astounding. Check out the photos:
I baby-sit my little (well, younger) cousins: Casey (8), Garrett (11), Colin (12), Geraldine (13). They all have these pretty witty and lame jokes. Much like me, really.
Garrett got drunk half-way through the wedding. He was all red and he kept walking into walls. Casey was basically just super hyper - running and jumping all around the place.
I met all my uncles, aunties, granduncles, grandaunties and cousins. Yup, pretty much everyone in the hall was familiar (though I just can’t remember all their names).
Through it all, Yen was teaching Ky Lynn and I how to take amazing photos with an SLR. Yen’s my 20 something year old cousin who’s been my big brother for ages now. Ky Lynn’s been one of my closest cousins since I was knee-high to a grasshopper. She’s 16. I’m sms-ing her right now, actually.
The wedding ended at 11:00. It’s 12:35 now.
Have you heard Justin King's acoustic piece, Crown?
